Acts of Kindness (A-OK) befriended a man who was living behind the dumpster at the back of one of our Manchester local businesses. The gentleman did not have full functioning use of his hands and lost his home and employment as a result. While homeless and living on the street, his birth certificate, I.D., and Social Security card were stolen. Without a physical address or documentation, it was very difficult to get help through the public system. A-Ok helped this man find a spot in a local shelter and volunteers there are working to help him obtain the necessary documentation for his next steps as well as A-OK has helped him by obtaining a bicycle through local donations. The bicycle will enable this gentleman additional freedom of transportation of being able to get to places much quicker, job searches to enable him permanent housing in the future.
